![]() ![]() Going for the higher end brand wouldn't have helped, the Hertz counter was also slammed. I picked Dollar because they seemed to offer the best price but in the end the money I saved probably wasn't worth the aggravation. After an hour or so of waiting I finally get out of the airport. At one point it sounds like they are running out of cars but fortunately they ended up scrounging up enough that some were still available when I got up to the counter. Due to what I assume are archaic systems each rental seems to take 5+ minutes to process so the line moves at the speed of molasses. I get my bag, return to the rental location and the line has gotten even longer. The employee working there says I have plenty of time to pick up my bag and he'll still be there once I pick it up. I go to the rental location and there's a very long line. My plane gets in on time but because of the tight timeline I figure I'll have to pick up my bag after getting my rental. So, crossing my fingers that my flight is on time I head off to Salt Lake City. ![]() I call to ask if after hours pickup is available and am told that's not an option at this location. After booking my confirmation email arrived and it said that they close at 11 PM. I checked Dollar's website and they said this location was open until 1 AM (see screenshot below) so all was well. I was arriving around 1040 PM so I wanted to make sure any rental company I booked with would be open when I arrived. My bad experience started off before booking. ![]() This is purely a criticism of the rental company itself. ![]() They were doing their best in a bad situation and remained polite and professional while dealing with long delays and irate customers. I want to start by making it clear that my negative review is in no way a criticism of the individual employees who were working here when I picked up my car. ![]()
